2010 Pre-season Training Schedule

Tuesday sessions will now be held at Dorothy Laver Reserve West AKA Saxby Reserve. Saxby Rd, Glen Iris (mel: 59 K 10)

Thursday sessions will be held at Deakin University (mel: 61 B6). Enter at Gate 1 on Burwood Hwy and continue to the second oval.

Don't forget this coming weekend 12 - 14 Feb is our pre-season training camp at Jan Juc. Call the coach for details.

Tuesday & Thursday sessions will start at 6pm and Saturday morning session times will vary depending on venues.

U19 Pre-season Training Schedule

Monday sessions will be at South Oakleigh Secondary Centre Rd (mel: 78 F2) at 6pm.

Wednesday night will vary week to week. Check the U19 Facebook page for updates.

Pre-Christmas Training update

What a great start!

We have had fantastic numbers at our first three sessions and Rob Bonnici has started where he left off, with some intense but enjoyable sessions. Under 19’s have turned up in numbers, along with those graduating to senior ranks. We have been very fortunate to have been developing a relationship with Re-creation Health Club in Glen Iris. They have provided the use of their Spin room for a cycling class at which over 45 players attended. Hopefully, the relationship between De La Salle OCAFC and Re-creation is one that will benefit both organisations. We encourage all our players and supporters to investigate and consider Re-creation at Glen Iris when New Years resolutions come about! Our aim to be the fittest club in the VAFA may extend well beyond the boundary ropes.

We will be back at Re-creation next Tuesday (meet at DLS College 6.30pm). Thursdays for the coming two weeks (3/12 and 10/12) will be based at DLS College from 6pm.

Our young cadet reporter, known around De La as The Haymaker, will be filling us in on the action each week.

No Haymaker Report available for Rnd 17, but here is a brief report of the match against Old Brighton.

Congratulations to David Lowe and Matt Fieldsend, joint winners of the 2009 VAFA Woodrow Medal. The boys finished on 18 votes, 4 votes clear of Ben Phibbs from SBMT.

Congratulations also to Michael Duggan who won Goal of the Year for his blistering run down the outer wing at Brindisi St!

On Saturday 1st August DLS legend Rocco Serena was honoured and remembered with a tree planting ceremony.
